This week’s podcast was more of a musing, a heartfelt share of how I was feeling in the moment. It reminded me that we can have all the things around us – partners, children, friends – and still feel isolated or lonely nonetheless. I will talk to you about my spin on all of this next week, on how often our sense of loneliness is perceived and not rooted in reality regardless of what things we do or don’t have, how we can cultivate feelings of connection and how connection is often right at our finger tips, right under our nose, if we chose to see them. But this week, I took the approach of its okay to not feel okay. Sometimes we just don’t and is important to allow ourselves to be with those feelings, to experience those feelings while knowing that it’s okay, we can weather the storm and we won’t break. You can listen to the entire episode, The Complexities of Connection: A Personal Journey Through Belonging, just 9 minutes, here. We also hosted my first ever self-run virtual workshop. It was a huge success and so much fun to connect with those of you that were able to make it. Among other things, we talked about discovering our emotional and spiritual hunger, redefining nutrition to incorporate all the ways in which we can nourish ourselves, mind and body and the common saboteurs and barriers that get in our way. If you missed it, you will have an opportunity to grab the replay next week. Wishing you a joyful week and I will see you again in your inbox next week! |
