I made it through the evacuations, and while the LA fires that started two weeks ago have not yet been fully contained, at the time of this writing, a new one has started.
It seems like there is an endless barrage of stress.
And of course, it is not just natural disasters, but all the “little” stuff that chips away slowly at our nerves.
We could wait till things “settle down,” or we could take matters into our own hands.
This past week, I ran multiple mind-body sessions with patients, professionals, and corporations. I even hosted one on Saturday that I shared with all of you and with my followers on Instagram.
In every single session, people described a shift from chaos to calm, from anxiety to peace. In fact, I recorded Saturday’s session for the HealthBite podcast this week. You can go through the practices yourself and hear the participants’ reactions too!
What it reaffirms to me is how powerful these practices are and how deeply they are needed.
I encourage you to not wait for things to “calm down,” but to take matters into your own hands. Take some time to engage in a breathing practice, a visualization practice, a meditation practice, or maybe just a hot shower or long bath. If you are ready, I have lots of resources for you!
You can start with this week’s podcast.
And in the spirit of community, I will be offering free monthly mind-body sessions. At least I will in the coming month, let’s see how it goes!
If you are interested in participating, you can sign up here!
Wishing you a peaceful week, mind, body, and soul.
